We’re sitting in the airport in Vancouver, and Ted was suddenly inspired to replace Willy Nelson’s On The Road Again with something a little more Canadian.
Maybe Tomorrow (theme from the long-running Canadian TV show “The Littlest Hobo” – with apologies to Terry Bush for Ted’s slight change to his lyrics…)
There’s a voice keeps on calling us
Down the road, that’s where we’ll always be
Every stop we make, we make a new friend
Can’t stay for long, just turn around, and we’re gone again
Maybe tomorrow we wanna settle down
Until tomorrow, we’ll just keep moving on
Down this road that never seems to end
Where a new adventure lies just around the bend
So if you wanna join us for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light that’s hobo style
Maybe tomorrow we wanna settle down
Until tomorrow, the whole world is our home
So if you wanna join us for a while, just grab your hat
Come travel light that’s hobo style

Only Ted ! Such a romantic !!

Such a wonderful correlation, Rose. And it’s absolutely fine with me that I can “date myself” with such happy TV memories. This suits you both to a tee; well done, Ted! He Huakai Maikai…

Perfect theme. We love Littlest Hobo. Still on CTV every Sunday morning. We watch it with our German Shepherd. You might be surprised how many people recognize it. It was one of Canada’s greatest exports and shown in 130 countries.
